Christian healing churches Leesburg VA have been there since the Bible was penned. Its history is long and rich, but one thing has remained unchanged throughout the centuries: healing is at the heart of Christianity.
Today’s Christian healing ministry is “The anointing” and “the prayer of faith .”The anointing is available to anyone who will receive its power. The prayer of faith is the means to request and receive that anointing.
A healing ministry requires honesty of heart and willingness to serve. In addition, the ministry requires patience, love, understanding, and the ability to be a good listener. Christian healing ministry encompasses all areas of need – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual – through prayer and the anointing of God’s Holy Spirit.
Jesus’ life and ministry centered on healing. He healed lepers, deaf people, blind people, and possessed demoniacs; He even restored life to the dead. Jesus’ followers continue to heal today.
The apostle Paul’s writings present a consistent message about the power of God through healing: “That if you call on the name of the Lord you will be healed.” (Romans 10:13)
In Scripture, healing is both physical and mental. It encompasses the whole body, mind, and spirit. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18)
The early Church healed and continued to heal throughout its growth. After the death and resurrection of Christ, the Church still provided healing. This truth is revealed in scriptures, such as James 5:14-15 and Acts 19:11-12. “Is anyone among you sick? He should call the elders of the Church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.”
There is a ministry at the Church of the Holy Spirit. It is called a “healing ministry,” and Pastor Clancy leads it. If you are sick and need healing, please get in touch with Pastor Clancy through the church office.
We are offering training on Wednesday evenings to those who have a burden to minister healing prayer with the anointing. The ministry will be taught by Pastor Clancy and will develop your faith and prayer life as you learn and grow in this important ministry.
Do you want to learn how to receive and use anointing for healing? Be part of us at our Healing Ministry Service on the first Saturday of every month at 5:00 p.m. We will begin with worship, and then Pastor Clancy will teach on healing. Then we’ll let the trained prayer teams minister at this service, which lasts about 5-15 minutes.
Please let us know if you would like to be placed on our prayer list if you are ill or hurt in any way and would like to be prayed for. We would love to pray for you and encourage your faith as we seek the Lord together.
2 Peter 1:3-5
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him, who called us by his glory and goodness. Through these, he has given us his very great and precious promises so that through them, you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Please note Church of the Holy Spirit does not have a rigid set of rules, or a formal policy or program, regarding visitors. All are welcome.
The healing ministry of our Church exists to meet the needs of the body. It is designed to provide healing through Jesus Christ, through the anointing of God. The Church of the Holy Spirit is a place of healing.
